A Vibrant Hub for the Orangeburg Community

To better serve its growing population, the Orangeburg County Library relocated to a new 47,000 SF facility near downtown and two local universities, Claflin University and SC State University. Designed as a modern community hub, the library is organized into three key zones—the library, community spaces, and conferencing areas—all seamlessly connected by a terraced gallery.

Our team provided furnishings throughout the interior and exterior, creating an inviting and dynamic environment that reflects the library’s role as a gathering place for learning, collaboration, and connection. Vibrant seating, flexible workstations, and community-focused layouts were thoughtfully integrated to encourage engagement, whether for quiet study, group meetings, or public events. The design fosters an inclusive atmosphere, ensuring that every visitor—students, professionals, and families—feels welcomed and inspired.

This project highlights how purposeful interior design and curated furnishings can transform a space into a thriving community hub—one that enriches lives and supports the future of Orangeburg.
