A Learning Environment Designed for Innovation and Community

Northeastern University has relocated its nursing school to The Line in Charlotte’s South End, creating a state-of-the-art educational space designed to foster learning, collaboration, and community. Spanning 50,000 SF across the 8th and 9th floors, the new campus overlooks the light rail and provides an inspiring setting for the next generation of medical professionals.

The thoughtfully designed space includes modern classrooms, breakout rooms, and faculty work areas, alongside a working clinic that offers real-world training opportunities. Gathering and amenity spaces encourage collaboration among students and faculty, while a large outdoor terrace provides a place for reflection, connection, and well-being.

PMC was selected to help curate high-design student spaces that enhance engagement, support innovation, and create an environment where students can thrive. Our team delivered a unique product mix within an aggressive timeline, ensuring that every space was tailored to the needs of both learners and educators.

The project is currently under review for LEED Silver Certification, further reinforcing Northeastern University’s commitment to sustainability and forward-thinking design. This new campus is more than just a learning space—it’s a hub for education, community, and the future of healthcare.
